Business Development Strategy
As a Financial Accountant , Geetanjali Singh brings financial expertise and a passion for fashion to her work. Graduating with distinction from UMASS, Amherst, USA, she has worked with prominent organizations like Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Living in the USA, London, Milan, and Vienna, Geetanjali developed a keen eye for fashion. Returning to India, she joined her family's charitable trust to empower women through free tailoring skills training. To further support these women, she founded Silai Wilai in 2015, providing a platform to market and sell their handcrafted products, fostering a supportive community for their economic independence.
Marketing and Branding
Sukriti, a computer science engineering graduate from Thapar University, has been thriving in the finance and trading sector for the past seven years. Alongside her professional career, she has played a crucial role in the marketing & branding of our NGO’s free stitching programs. She has developed and executed strategic outreach campaigns to enhance community awareness, crafted compelling messaging to highlight the impact of our services, and established a strong, recognizable brand presence.
Advisor
He is an international affairs and public policy advisor, based in Singapore. He is also an academic and an author with experience in strategic roles that spans government, corporate and the non-profit sector. Among his past experience he has been an advisor and key executive in many social and environmental impact projects including with Warner Bros Discovery and many global philanthropic organizations. He holds degrees from the University of Cambridge, UK; National University of Singapore and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He has provided expert guidance in developing and implementing free stitching and sewing programs.
Teacher
Sushma participated in our programme in 2013 and swiftly acquired the necessary skills to become a trainer herself. Currently, she leads a team of 25 women and earns a stable monthly income, significantly improving her quality of life. Sushma now spends her days helping others like her to achieve economic empowerment.

When Gulshan joined SKK, she brought several years of tailoring experience with her. Starting immediately as a trainer, she has since transformed the lives and prospects of numerous women by imparting her skills. Through her dedication, Gulshan has not only taught techniques but also empowered many to achieve greater financial independence and confidence.

Pushpa joined our program in 2021, driven by curiosity and a strong determination to support her struggling family. She completed our six-month tailoring program, which equipped her with essential skills and boosted her confidence. Shortly after, she secured a job at a boutique close to her home. Today, Pushpa is not only thriving in her career but also actively engaging with local businesses and markets to create opportunities for other women to showcase and sell their creations.
